Commander’s Update, July 2025 – VFW Post 10141, The Friendly Post

Dear Comrades, Auxiliary, and Friends,

Welcome to July and the official start of the 2025–2026 VFW year! The dashboard has been reset, and your officers are already hard at work laying the foundation to ensure we not only meet—but exceed—our goals this year.

Mission: All-State & All-American

This year, we’re aiming high—with a united goal of achieving both All-State and All-American honors. It will take every one of us to get there, but with the passion, dedication, and teamwork I’ve seen from this post, I have no doubt we’ll rise to the challenge.

If you’re interested in helping with events, community outreach, recruiting, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly. Every bit of time and talent makes a difference.

Volunteer Recognition

A heartfelt thank you to all of our incredible June volunteers—your commitment is what keeps the Friendly Post thriving. Congratulations to Paula, our June Volunteer Drawing winner!

The Volunteer Drawing is held the first Tuesday of every month during the Jam Session. Come out, get involved, and maybe your name will be next!

Independence Day Celebration

Join us on Thursday, July 4th at noon for a Post Potluck and Open Jukebox! Bring a dish, bring a friend, and let’s celebrate the birth of our nation together as a veteran family.

Cost-Saving Initiatives

A big shoutout to Sr. Vice Commander Jaila for taking the lead on reducing our internet and TV service costs—cutting them in half! These kinds of initiatives help us stay strong through the slower summer months. If you have ideas to help the post run more efficiently or cost-effectively, please share them. Innovation from our members is always welcome.

Building Fund Progress

Thank you to everyone who has donated to our Building Maintenance Fund. We’re getting closer to our goal and are currently scheduling the large, necessary repairs that will help us keep our doors open and safe for years to come.

Corporate Sponsorship Program

We’re proud to introduce a new Corporate Sponsorship Initiative, led by Rob. This program will help strengthen our resources and build lasting relationships with local businesses.

If you know a business that would be interested in sponsoring VFW Post 10141, please reach out to Rob directly. Thank you, Rob, for your leadership on this important effort!
